Chalice employees gather each morning for prayer before beginning our busy workdays. As part of our prayer, we often share stories of the saints and reflect on how their lives can inspire and guide us in our own journeys of faith.

Saint Teresa of Calcutta, born Anjezë Gonxhe Bojaxhiu, devoted her life to serving the poorest and most vulnerable. After becoming a nun and later leaving her teaching ministry, she felt called to work among the people living in the streets of Calcutta, where she began what would become the Missionaries of Charity. Her life reminds us that we do not need to do great things to make a difference; rather, we are called to serve others with love, compassion and humility wherever we are. Through her example, we are invited to recognize the dignity of every person and to see Christ in those who are most in need.
