Yustina

Yustina is a 78-year-old woman living in Songea, Tanzania. A woman of deep faith, she finds great comfort and joy in praying, and she is immensely grateful for the support and kindness of her sponsor, which brings much-needed relief and hope to her daily life.

She lives within a household dwelling constructed of brick with a metal sheet roof. Navigating a very difficult season with limited resources, Yustina is supported primarily through the care and generosity of her local parish believers, who identified her for this program. She is a resilient and deeply appreciative elder whose trust in her community and her sponsor reflects her steadfast and hopeful spirit.

Sponsorship enables elders to eat well, access healthcare and medication, and connect socially with a community that fosters a sense of belonging.
