Wingrace is a very bright and eager 15-year-old girl who lives in Shiballe, Kenya. She currently attends Starehe Girls School and is in Grade 10 where she is involved in many activities and science projects, such as plant and animal breeding and sewage treatment plant programs. Wingrace has many hobbies but her favourites are dancing and playing netball. Wingrace’s big dream is to become a neurosurgeon and she is already working very hard to ensure she achieves her goal.
Wingrace is very active in extra-curricular programs, like scouting and St. John Ambulance First Aid. When she isn’t studying, she also loves going on nature walks because she says it is relaxing and she is always learning something new from the environment. She also really enjoys music, especially the urban tone genre, and likes going to parties, where she can meet new people.
Wingrace lives with her mother, two sisters, and younger brother. As a single parent, her mother works hard doing general labour jobs to support the family. Prior to being accepted into Starehe Girls School, Wingrace missed a lot of school because her mother was unable to pay the school fees on time. She never gave up, though, and studied hard to ensure she would be accepted into Starehe. This very determined teenager would benefit greatly from sponsorship as it will ensure she is able to continue in school with everything she needs to be successful and eventually achieve her dream career as a brilliant neurosurgeon.
Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
