Jane

Jane is 10 years old and lives in Naibor, Kenya, a small village within the Baraka site. She is currently in Grade 3 and loves math class, although she has big dreams of becoming a doctor one day. She understands the importance of education and says she is working hard to achieve her dreams so she will have a bright future.

Jane lives with her mother in a small plywood home with a sheet-metal roof. As a single parent, Jane’s mother does her best to support her needs, but it can often be challenging with inconsistent and low-paying work. Being part of the sponsorship program would give Jane a tremendous opportunity to continue in school where she will receive a foundational education that will help her eventually attend post-secondary school.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
