Violeta

Violeta is a friendly six-year-old girl living in Santa Isabel, Peru, a very small village in the Pacora district. Violeta  is in Grade 1 and is really enjoying her new friends and teachers. When she’s not in school, Violeta likes to play with her dolls and enjoys helping her big sister, Miriam, feed the chickens and ducks. You will always see Violeta smiling and singing, especially love songs and cumbia. She loves signing so much, she wants to become a professional signing after she finishes school.

Violeta lives with her parents, brother, and sister in a small home that just recently installed electricity. The village has no sewage or running water, so the family relies on water delivery twice a month. Violeta’s father works in the fields planting corn and lentils but his wages are minimal and cannot support the struggling family. Being part of the sponsorship program would be a blessing for this family and would help to ensure Violeta is able to continue her studies with everything she needs to be successful.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
