Lía

Lía is a happy three-year-old girl from San Isidro, a small village in Peru with no primary school. Lía loves playing with little animals and imitating their sounds. Very kind and active, this little toddler is extrememly sociable.

Lía lives with her parents and two brothers in a very small adobe home. Their village has no sewage, which makes life very difficult with young children. Lía’s father works hard in the fields planting corn and her mother stays home to care for the children and raise the farm animals. The sponsorship program would be a huge relief for this struggling family and would ensure Lía has everything she needs to be successful as she grows and eventually starts school.

Sponsorship enables parents and caregivers to give their toddlers safe and happy years before starting school through improved nutrition, timely healthcare, and strong community support.
