Tingan

Tingan is a bright 14-year-old girl living in Wa, Ghana. A focused seventh-grader, she loves reading, excels in her mathematics class, and enjoys playing soccer with her friends in her free time. Believing deeply that education is the key to her future, she works hard because she dreams of becoming a teacher when she grows up.

She lives with her parents, brother, and two sisters in a brick home with a thatched roof. Her family resides in a small farming village where both parents work as peasant farmers. Relying on unpredictable, small-scale agriculture makes providing for basic household needs an ongoing struggle, and they frequently cannot afford her essential school supplies. A steady sponsorship will ease this financial strain, ensuring Tingan gets the tools and support she needs to stay in school.
