Malia

Malia is a cheerful 5-year-old girl living in Kowino Atwenga, Kenya. Currently attending preschool, she absolutely loves going to school, her language arts class, and playing hide-and-seek. At home, she enjoys playing with her sister and best friend, Naomi. Deeply inspired by her teacher, Malia works hard in class and dreams of becoming a teacher herself when she grows up.

She lives with her parents, her brother, and two sisters in a two-roomed home made of mud with a metal sheet roof. Her parents work hard to care for the large household, but facing limited job opportunities, the family experiences significant economic constraints. Balancing daily survival needs with educational materials for multiple growing children presents a continuous financial hurdle for the household.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
