Thiyasri

Thiyasri is a sweet six year old living in Kovil Esanai, India where she is in Grade 1. Thiyasri loves school, especially language arts, math, and science. She really enjoys learning new things, which is why she hopes to become a teacher one day, so she can encourage other children to be excited about learning. Thiyasri has many friends, including her two best friends, Puviyazhini and Shivani. The three like to play soccer but in her spare time, Thiyasri also enjoys reading and writing.

Thiyasri lives with her parents, brother, and three sisters. Her father is a daily wage labourer and works hard to support the family but his wages are not enough to cover their monthly expenses. Her mother is a homemaker, who lovingly cares for the family, including Thiyasri’s one-year-old sister. Sponsorship would be a huge help to this family and ensure Thiyasri is able to stay in school where she will get the foundational education she needs to achieve her goal of becoming a teacher.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
