Nesiha

Meet Nesiha, a future nurse. This very playful little girl is seven years old and attends Grade 2 near Ayyamapettai, her small village in India. She enjoys classes and especially likes language arts and math. Nesiha is also a good artist and recently won a prize in an art contest. One of her favorite things to do is to play with her cat, which she also feeds and bathes. She has one sibling, a younger sister named Mithula.

Unfortunately, Nesiha’s father passed away leaving her mother to support her and and her sister working as a daily wage labourer. As a single parent and the family’s primary breadwinner, her mother’s income is barely enough to sustain them. Being part of the sponsorship program would be a huge blessing to this family and help ease her mother’s financial stress. It would also ensure Nesiha can continue her studies and eventually attend nursing school where she can achieve her goal to help others.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
