Sangeetha

Sangeetha is 10 years old and lives in Makkuva, India. She is in Grade 3 and especially loves her literature class. She enjoys school and is determined to keep her grades up because she has big plans of becoming a teacher after finishing her studies. When Sangeetha is not in school, she really likes spending time with her friends, chatting and playing kabaddi, especially during the holidays and festivals. She also enjoys taking part in village celebrations and finds great joy in the simple moments of daily community life.

Sangeetha lives with her parents and brother. Both her father and mother work as daily labourers. Their work is both inconsistent and seasonal, and the income earned is minimal, which makes meeting their daily needs challenging, especially the children’s education. Sponsoring Sangeetha would offer her an incredible opportunity, as it would ensure she is able to finish her studies and gain the foundational education she needs to achieve her goal of becoming a teacher.
