Marcel

This little three-year-old boy from Chogsia, a small community near Wa, Ghana is an extremely cheerful child with big dreams. He loves preschool, where he is eager to learn math and looks forward to attending school soon. He also loves to dance, and will take any opportunity to do so. When he finishes school, little Marcel wants to become a medical doctor so he can help heal the sick.

Marcel lives with his parents and brother. Both his mother and father are small-scale farmers who earn very little because of the failing crops. They are struggling to pay for Marcel’s school fees, so being part of the sponsorship program would be a wonderful opportunity for both the family and Marcel, easing their financial strain and ensuring Marcel continues his studies so he can one day reach his lofty goal of becoming a doctor.

Sponsorship enables parents and caregivers to give their toddlers safe and happy years before starting school through improved nutrition, timely healthcare, and strong community support.
