Meet Abdul-Rahim, a very eager and dedicated nine-year-old from Ga, a small farming community near Wa, Ghana. Abdul-Rahim is currently in Grade 2, where he loves his language arts class, although he is always eager to learn new things in every subject. He hopes to one day impart his knowledge on others as a teacher, helping children learn to read and write. In the meantime, Abdul-Rahim enjoys reading and playing soccer with his friends.
Abdul-Rahim lives with his parents and two brothers in a small home. Both his mother and father work as small-scale farmers. Although they work long hours every day, their income is minimal, as the failing crops cannot support their basic needs, including Abdul-Rahim’s school fees. Sponsorship would greatly benefit this dedicated young boy to continue learning and eventually achieve his goal of becoming a teacher, who can help other children also learn.
Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
