This sweet little girl is Laura, a five-year-old from Ragati, a small community near Nanyuki, Kenya. She tends to be a bit reserved but loves preschool, especially her language arts class and reciting verses. Laura, likes to spend time with her friends, and enjoys making dolls. She wants to be a beautician when she grows up.
Laura lives with her parents, two brothers, and sister. Her father is a casual worker and her mother stays home. While her parents try to do their best for their children, they are struggling. Being part of the Chalice sponsorship program would not only help ease their financial worries, but it would also provide Laura with an opportunity to continue her schooling where she will gain the foundational education needed to reach her full potential and achieve her goals.
Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
