Kashikasri

Kashikasri is a spirited 7-year-old girl living in Batlagundu, India. Currently a second grader, she loves her Tamil and literature classes and deeply enjoys drawing. She is highly active and loves playing hide and seek, as well as playing cops and robbers on the street with her friends. Driven by a desire to be a hero who keeps people safe, Kashikasri dreams of becoming a police officer when she grows up.

She lives with her parents, brother, sister, and grandmother in a brick home with a cement roof. Her father works in a four-wheeler workshop, but he is unable to secure regular, steady employment. Her mother manages the household and cares for the children. Relying on an unpredictable, meagre income makes it incredibly difficult to cover basic daily necessities alongside the regular costs of raising and educating three growing children.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
