Maria

Maria is a kind, creative, and cheerful 8-year-old girl living in Murillo, Bolivia. She is currently in grade 2, where mathematics is her favorite subject. Maria is a talented child who loves drawing, coloring, painting, watching movies, and playing ball games with her friends. She is also skilled at styling hair and enjoys making beautiful braids for her sisters and friends. Inspired by a desire to help others, she dreams of becoming a doctor when she grows up.

She lives in a brick home with a calamine roof alongside her parents, brother, and two sisters. Raising three daughters and a son requires significant household resources, making it a continuous financial effort for her parents to balance everyday living expenses with the cost of school materials for the children.
