Joar

Joar is a playful 1 year old boy living in José Leonardo Ortiz, Peru. Though he is still too young for school, he is full of energy, loves soccer, and genuinely enjoys playing with his mother and trying to color. He is a curious little boy who likes to stay close to his sister Alexia while she does her homework, and his favorite treats are banana porridge and noodle soup with chicken.

He lives with his family in a brick home with a cement roof located in a local human settlement. His father works as a motorcycle taxi driver, while his mother dedicates her time to caring for the children and managing the household. Because his mother had to leave school early and his father relies on unpredictable informal transit work, the family faces limited economic opportunities. The sponsorship program provides a critical foundation for Joar, offering the consistent resources and stability his family needs to ensure he can grow up healthy and eventually transition into his early education.
