Jayreal

Jayreal is a thoughtful and hardworking 13-year-old boy living in Metro Manila, Philippines. He is currently in grade 7, where mathematics is his favorite subject—especially learning about square roots. Jayreal is an expressive child who loves drawing, watching basketball and boxing on television, and chatting with his friends about school activities. Inspired to protect his country and support his family, he works hard in school and dreams of becoming a soldier when he grows up.

He lives in a cement home with a metal sheet roof alongside his parents, two brothers, and sister. His father works as a truck helper carrying flour, while his mother works as a school feeding room helper and peels garlic for extra income. Relying on seasonal and informal labor to support a family of six makes covering basic daily necessities and ongoing school expenses a constant financial struggle.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
