Jhony Isaias is a thoughtful and artistic 12-year-old boy living in Paraguay. He is currently a dedicated seventh-grade student who expresses his creativity through his absolute favorite subject, Art. In his free time, Jhony Isaias loves spending time outside and playing games with his friends. Looking ahead to his future, he has a deeply compassionate goal: he wants to become a physical therapist so he can help treat and care for people who are sick or injured.

Family means everything to Jhony Isaias. He lives with his mother, Rosana, and his sister, Sara, in a brick home with a calamine roof. His sister battles a serious chronic illness, lupus, which requires regular treatments at a public hospital in another city. Because of the constant care his sister needs and the high medical expenses involved, his mother is unable to hold a stable, full-time job. Instead, she works tirelessly to generate a modest income by cleaning houses and selling beans and vegetables. Despite these challenges, Jhony Isaias remains a bright light for his family, praying daily for his sister’s recovery and working hard in school.
