Jayten

Jayten, or Jay as he is commonly called, is a sweet eight year old living in Wa, Ghana. Now in Grade 2, Jay is already looking forward to becoming a doctor when he’s older because he wants to save lives. Jay understands the importance of a good education and says that he takes his studies very seriously because he believes education will shape his future. He loves science class but when he’s not studying, he also really enjoys playing soccer with his friends and singing.

Jay is a twin. He lives with his parents, twin brother, Jaiden, and sister in a small home where his parents work as small scale farmers. Living well below the poverty line, his parents work tirelessly to support their family, but farming does not sustain their basic needs, including school fees. So, being part of the sponsorship program would be a real blessing to this struggling family and would provide Jay with an opportunity to remain in school with everything he needs to become successful as a doctor one day.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
