Janet

Janet is a very caring 11-year-old girl who lives in Kamba, Zambia. Currently in Grade 4, Janet likes science and English class but she really enjoys drawing pictures of things she has learned and reading storybooks. Janet likes making new friends although she has two best friends, Maria and Mulenya, who love to play net ball together. She also likes feeding and playing with her family’s goats. When Janet finishes Grade 12, she hopes to pursue a career as a nurse.

Janet lives with her grandmother and other family members. Her grandmother farms millet, maize, and sweet potatoes for the family to eat. Being part of the sponsorship program would be a huge help to Janet’s family and help ease their tremendous financial burden. It would also ensure Janet has everything she needs to remain in school and eventually achieve her career goals.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
