Jaela

Jaela is a motivated 9-year-old girl living in Puente Alto, Chile. Moving into the fourth grade, she is an enthusiastic student who loves mathematics class and playing soccer. In her free time, Jaela enjoys bike-riding, practicing sports, and helping her mother cook. She is highly determined and dreams of becoming a physical education teacher when she grows up, while also hoping to learn how to bake to support her family’s future plans.

She lives with her mother and her brother, Jesscar, in a home made of wood with a metal sheet roof. As a single-parent household relying on a single income, managing daily household expenses alongside the costs of education is a constant effort. Balancing everyday basic needs with the regular costs of school supplies, uniforms, and fees for growing children presents a continuous financial hurdle for her mother.
