Bhumika

Bhumika is an expressive 7-year-old girl living in Honda, India. Currently a dedicated first grader, she loves language arts and English classes, drawing, and playing hide-and-seek with her friend Ujwal. She is highly creative and enjoys making up fun dances with her friends and participating in school activities. Looking forward to her future, Bhumika aspires to become a teacher or a police officer so she can serve her nation.

She lives with her parents and two younger siblings in a brick home with a tile roof. Her father works hard to support the large household as a driver, while her mother stays at home as a housewife to care for the children. Relying on a single, informal trade income makes it difficult to manage daily household expenses alongside the costs of education for multiple young children. Covering essential school supplies, regular fees, and basic necessities presents a continuous financial hurdle for the family.
