Hope

Hope is a bright 9-year-old girl living in Mboboka, Zambia. She is currently a dedicated third-grade student at St. Paul’s Primary School, where she excels in all of her subjects, though her favorites are math and English. In her free time, Hope loves reading storybooks, cooking, playing netball, and running around with her friends Ruth and Jane. At home, she is always ready to help her mother with daily chores like washing dishes. When she completes school, Hope dreams of becoming a medical doctor so she can care for others.

She lives with her parents and three brothers in a brick home with a traditional thatched roof in Nsande village. Her mother practices small-scale peasant farming, growing maize and sweet potatoes solely for home consumption. Because the family relies on subsistence farming rather than a steady cash income, managing basic daily necessities alongside the rising costs of school supplies and tuition is a constant financial struggle.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
