Hinami

Meet Hinami, a very studious and friendly 11-year-old girl living in Tondo, Philippines. Hinami really enjoys Grade 4 and always works hard to ensure she has good grades. Her favourite subject is language arts, but she already has her sights set on becoming a doctor one day. Hinami and her best friends, Venice, Kylie, and Maymay love playing outside. She also likes to sing and dance whenever possible. She is very responsible and enjoys helping her mother with the household chores.

Hinami comes from a very large family. She lives with her parents, five brothers, sister, grandparents, and other family members in one small home. The house is built below street level, so whenever it rains, water easily flows into their home, causing damage to their furniture and appliances. Hinami’s father works as a cargo checker and her mother is a sales officer at an auto supply shop.

Together, Hinami’s parents work very hard to support their large family, but their wages are minimal and they struggle to cover all the monthly expenses, especially the school fees for all six children. Being part of the sponsorship program would be extremely helpful for this family and help to remove some of their financial burden. It would allow Hinami to continue in school with all the resources she needs to be successful .

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
