Gregoria

Gregoria is a resilient and affectionate 68-year-old grandmother living in a brick home with a calamine roof in Kara Kara, Bolivia. She works hard selling popcorn outside a local school from Monday to Friday to help support her household. Despite not knowing how to read or write, Gregoria is deeply committed to her grandchildren’s education—making sure they get help with their homework at her granddaughter Susana’s store so they can succeed in their studies.

In her daily life, Gregoria provides a loving home for her nine-year-old grandson, keeping him close by her side and giving him everything she has, as well as her 26-year-old granddaughter who attends university. Though she manages physical pain and aches in her body, Gregoria maintains a happy, faithful spirit. She finds joy in talking with her friends and spending her free time at church on Sundays.
