Georgina

Georgina is a very creative and active six-year-old from Dandafuro, a small farming community near Kpongu, Ghana. Georgina is currently in Grade 1, where she is really enjoying language arts class. When she is not in school, Georgina loves to play ampe and soccer with her friends. She is a very good singer and likes to spend any free time she has singing and dancing. While Georgina is just six, she has her sights set on becoming a nurse after she finishes school.

Georgina lives with her parents, brother, and four sisters. Both of Georgina’s parents are small-scale farmers earning very limited income. While Georgina’s parents work hard to support the large family, it is becoming increasingly difficult to make ends meet. They are struggling to cover their basic needs and the children’s school fees, which puts Georgina’s education at risk. Being part of the sponsorship program would be a wonderful opportunity for Georgina, as it would ensure she is able to continue her schooling and eventually achieve her goal of becoming a nurse.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
