Erick

This sweet little four-year-old boy lives in San Sebastián, Peru, a small community almost five hours outside Chiclayo. You will always see a smile on Erick’s face, especially when he can do puzzles or create beautiful drawings in art class.

Erick dreams of becoming a firefighter when he’s finished school. In the meantime, he loves to play soccer with his friends whenever he gets the chance. While his favourite dish is pesto, he also loves eating fresh pineapple and watermelon.

Erick lives with his mother in a small brick home with a calamine roof that belongs to Erick’s grandfather. Ever since Erick’s father was in a bad traffic accident that left him disabled, his mother has been raising him alone. She cleans houses, working tirelessly as a single parent to raise Erick and ensure he always has everything he needs, but it can often be difficult to cover their basic expenses. Sponsoring Erick would help his mother with school expenses and ensure he remains in school with everything he needs to succeed.
