Emmanuellla

Emmanuella is a bright 12-year-old girl living in Jérémie, Haiti. Currently a dedicated sixth-grader, she performs well in her studies and names mathematics as her favorite subject. In her free time, she enjoys playing basketball and eating her favorite food, rice. Emmanuella is also very responsible at home, where she takes pride in helping her family by cleaning the house. Driven by a deep desire to take care of sick people, she works hard in school because she dreams of becoming a nurse when she grows up.

She shares a cement home with a metal sheet roof alongside her parents and sister. Her father works as a bricklayer, and her mother earns a living as a merchant. While both parents work hard to provide for the household, navigating the daily economic environment makes securing stable resources an ongoing challenge, creating a continuous financial hurdle when trying to balance daily necessities with the costs of schooling. A steady sponsorship will bring profound relief to her household, ensuring Emmanuella gets the supplies, tools, and support she needs to stay in the classroom.
