Vedly

Vedly is a 10-year-old boy living in Terrier-Rouge, Haiti with his parents and younger brother. Vedly is a Grade-3 student who enjoys his language arts and social studies classes, but his favourite subject is history.

When not studying, Vedly loves playing soccer, especially with his best friends Djouvens and Clade. He takes his education seriously and likes when he can study with his friends. Vedly dreams of becoming a doctor when he’s finished school, so he can give back to his community by healing the sick.

Vedly’s parents often find maintaining a steady income difficult as the economy in Haiti is uncertain. They understand the importance of education and consistently encourage Vedly to do his best in school so he can have a brighter future.

The family lives in a brick home with a sheet-metal roof. Sponsoring Vedly will help provide him with the essential tools to continue his education and reach his dream of eventually become a doctor.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
