Emelia

Emelia is an 11-year-old girl from Wa, Ghana. Now in Grade 2, Emelia loves reading because she enjoys learning. Her dream career is a teacher so she can teach other children to also love learning. Always eager to try new things, Emelia also enjoys working with clay, using her creativity to mold different toys.

Emelia lives with her aunt who is a house mother at the Wa School for the Deaf. Acting as a single parent, Emelia’s aunt does her best to support her but it can be challenging at times. Being part of the sponsorship program would relieve much of the financial pressure on Emelia’s aunt to pay for school fees and related costs. It would also ensure that Emelia is able to continue attending school so she can have a sound foundational education that will allow her to reach her future goals and better her life.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
