Elice

This little two-year-old girl is Elice. Elice lives in a small community called Mshangano, which is near Beroya, Tanzania. She is a very happy little girl, who is always smiling and laughing. She likes to try and do things with her grandmother, like washing dishes. She also loves to spend time with her friends, play music, and sing.

Elice lives with her grandmother who is elderly and having a hard time meeting all of Elice’s basic needs. As the sole provider for her granddaughter, she is struggling, as she can no longer work. Her grandmother loves her dearly, but she has no one to help her, so she is very worried for Elice’s future. Being part of the Chalice sponsorship program would be an incredible relief for her grandmother and would ensure Elice has everything she needs to be successful when she starts school.

Sponsorship enables parents and caregivers to give their toddlers safe and happy years before starting school through improved nutrition, timely healthcare, and strong community support.
