Charity is an ambitious 20-year-old young woman living in Zambia. Currently in the ninth grade, she works hard in her studies, enjoys playing netball with friends, and names science as her favorite subject. At home, she regularly helps her parents with various household chores. Inspired by her parents’ hard work, Charity takes her education seriously and deeply dreams of becoming a nurse once she completes her secondary education so she can support her family.
She shares a brick home with a thatched roof alongside her parents, her brother, and her sister. Her family lives in a rural village where her parents practice peasant farming, growing maize, cassava, and groundnuts entirely for home consumption. Because their agricultural livelihood is strictly for survival and produces no surplus income, covering basic daily necessities and secondary school fees is a heavy, constant strain. A stable sponsorship will provide profound economic relief for her household, ensuring Charity receives the food, clothing, and learning materials she needs to safely stay in the classroom and reach her goals.
Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
