Carlos

Carlos is an energetic 6-year-old boy who loves going to school and is currently in preschool. He enjoys his language arts classes, and in his free time, he loves painting, playing with toy cars and a ball, and playing marbles. When he grows up, Carlos has a big dream of becoming a firefighter! He also loves swimming and helping his father herd cows, and his favorite meal is fried chicken with macaroni.

He lives with his parents, his brother, and his two sisters in a cement home with a calamine roof. His family lives on a dirt road in a remote community called Cuchoapán, inside the municipality of Champerico, Guatemala. Carlos’s father works hard as a farmer, but because they are a low-income family living in one of the farthest communities, it is a constant struggle to make ends meet and provide for the household’s needs.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
