Briana

Briana is a very creative nine-year-old girl living in Antonio Raimondi, Peru, a small village within our Chiclayo site. Briana is in Grade 2 and travels 2 kms to school each day. She likes math class but also really enjoys reading and writing her own stories. When Briana is not in class or studying, she likes to play soccer with her friends. When she is finished Grade 12, Briana has big dreams of attending medical school so she can become a doctor.

Briana lives with her mother, brother, Jamie, and sister, Sofia. As a single parent, Briana’s mother works hard cleaning houses to support her two children. Being a single mother can be challenging, and often the low wages can make it difficult for Briana’s mother to make ends meet. Being part of the sponsorship program would be a wonderful opportunity for Briana and help ease this struggling family’s financial burden. It would ensure Briana has the educational resources needed to remain in school and eventually achieve her goal of becoming a doctor.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
