Berson

Berson Jean Jacques is a motivated 14-year-old boy living in Jérémie, Haiti. Currently a fourth-grader, he is dedicated to his education and names social studies as his favorite subject. In his free time, he loves playing soccer a lot, and his favorite foods are soup and cassava. Berson is also highly responsible, enjoying cleaning the house to help out. Deeply inspired to serve his community after completing his education, he works hard in school because he dreams of becoming an agronomist when he grows up.

He lives in a stone home with a metal sheet roof alongside his brother and his aunt, Marie Fitha Jean-Jacques, who earns a living as a merchant. Navigating the challenging daily economic environment makes securing stable resources an ongoing hardship for the household. The financial strain of balancing essential daily needs with school expenses creates a continuous hurdle for his family. A steady sponsorship will provide profound relief, ensuring Berson receives the clothes, learning materials, and consistent support he needs to stay in the classroom and achieve his goals.
