Beatrice

Beatrice is a happy 93-year-old grandmother living in Gatune village, Kenya in a small one-room house made of plywood with a sheet-metal roof. Previously a farmer, Beatrice still enjoys doing what she can, but at 93, she finds herself relying on family and friends for food.

Despite her age and a few health issues, Beatrice still loves to cook and is always smiling. She enjoys singing to pass the day, but she finds walking for long periods increasingly challenging.

Beatrice currently lives with her grandson. Sponsoring her would be an incredible relief to this wonderful and sweet 93-year-old woman, who simply enjoys life, despite her many challenges.

Sponsorship enables elders to eat well, access healthcare and medication, and connect socially with a community that fosters a sense of belonging.
