Anne Junie

Anne Junie is an enthusiastic 15-year-old girl living in Carrefour Sanon, Haiti. Currently a dedicated ninth-grader, she is highly interested in learning and balances a deep love for literature and French classes. In her free time, she enjoys dancing. Anne Junie works hard in school because she deeply dreams of becoming a flight attendant once she completes her education.

She lives with her parents and three sisters in a home made of wood with a metal sheet roof. Her father works as a farmer, while her mother is a health worker. Relying on unpredictable agricultural income in a challenging economic environment makes providing for a large family an ongoing struggle, creating a continuous financial hurdle when trying to balance daily necessities with the costs of schooling. A steady sponsorship will bring profound relief to her household, ensuring Anne Junie gets the supplies, tools, and support she needs to stay in the classroom.
