Franseska

Franseska is an enthusiastic 10-year-old girl living in Terrier-Rouge, Haiti. Currently a third-grader, she loves going to school every day, adapts well to her classes, and has a strong love for science. She is highly social, enjoying jump rope and hide-and-seek with her classmates, as well as dancing. At home, she is always eager to help with small chores like washing dishes, and she dreams of becoming a nurse one day to help sick people.

Franseska lives in a brick home with a metal sheet roof alongside a large, supportive family including her uncle, grandmother, brother, aunt, and cousins. Her family was recently forced to flee their home in Port-au-Prince due to severe gang violence, relocating to a new department to find safety. Rebuilding their lives in a new locality after being displaced introduces immense economic and emotional strain. The stability of a sponsorship brings profound hope and relief to the household, ensuring Franseska can stay safely in the classroom and pursue her education.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
