Anderson

Meet Anderson, a caring and sociable six-year-old boy from San Sebastián, Peru. Anderson is entering Grade 1 and is very proud that he knows all his colours, vowels, and numbers. He is always excited to learn more and is happy to meet his new teachers and friends, who he hopes like soccer and puzzles as much as he does.

Anderson dreams of one day becoming a police officer, a way he can help his community. He loves his mother’s cooking and happiest when she makes his favourite dish, aji de gallina, a creamy chicken stew.

Anderson lives with his parents in a small brick home with a calamine roof. His father drives a taxi and his mother sells torches seasonally. Both his parents work hard to give Anderson everything he needs to be healthy and successful, but it can be difficult when work is not consistent every month. Sponsoring this caring little boy would help the family ensure he has everything he needs to succeed in school and eventually become a police officer.
