Alyssa

Alyssa is a hardworking 11-year-old girl living in Tondo, the Philippines. Currently in the fifth grade, she is an enthusiastic student who loves art class and singing, making MAPEH her favorite subject. In her free time, she enjoys playing volleyball, playing Chinese garter with her friends, and eating fried chicken. She works hard to make her parents proud and dreams of becoming a teacher when she grows up.

She lives with her family in a home made of cement with a metal sheet roof. Her father earns a living by repairing motorcycles, while her mother stays at home to care for the children. Relying on a single, informal income from trade work makes it difficult for the household to balance unpredictable daily living costs with educational needs. Covering essential school materials and regular fees for the children presents a continuous financial hurdle for the family.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
