Alis

Alis is a sweet 2-year-old girl living in OTB Jales, Bolivia. Alis might be small but her heart is huge. She loves going to the park, dancing, and singing. She also enjoys playing with her younger brother. Sadly, Alis’ parents abandoned her and her little brother. Thankfully, their grandmother stepped up and has been raising the two toddlers on her own while also caring for her own son, who has a disability.

As the sole support for the family, Alis’ grandmother works tirelessly as a cleaner, but the work is not consistent and is not nearly enough to ensure Alis receives the important healthcare and nutrition she needs. While her grandmother showers Alis and her brother with affection and love, she wants to be able to ensure they grow up to be healthy and confident when they enter preschool. She has faith, however, that God’s blessing will help them get ahead.

The family of four lives in a small brick home with a tile roof. Receiving sponsorship would not only provide enormous relief for Alis’ grandmother and the family, but it will also ensure Alis can receive the proper care she needs to grow up and have a brighter future where she can achieve her dreams.

Sponsorship enables parents and caregivers to give their toddlers safe and happy years before starting school through improved nutrition, timely healthcare, and strong community support.
