Through the Conquering Achievements 2 program, children and families are receiving the academic support, psychological care, and encouragement they need to overcome these barriers and build brighter futures.
The Challenge
Many children in Paraguay continue to face significant obstacles to learning and well-being. Poverty, family instability, and the lingering effects of the COVID-19 pandemic have widened educational gaps, leaving some students struggling to master foundational literacy and mathematics skills.
At the same time, many children carry emotional burdens caused by violence, neglect, loss or crisis within the home. Families who want to help often lack access to professional support and specialized services.
Without intervention, these challenges can affect a child’s academic success, confidence, emotional health and future opportunities.
A Life Line for Children and Families
Conquering Achievements 2 is more than an educational initiative—it is a comprehensive support system designed to address both learning and mental health challenges.
The program provides:
- Individualized literacy and mathematics tutoring
- Specialized support for children with learning disabilities
- Psychological care for children and families facing emotional difficulties or crisis
- Family engagement and caregiver support
- Long-term intervention tailored to each child’s needs
By surrounding children with professional care and consistent encouragement, the program helps them overcome barriers that might otherwise limit their future.
Impact at a Glance
Over the next three years, the program will provide:
- 80 children supported annually
- 160–200 children reached through academic and mental health services
- 60 parents actively engaged in supporting their children’s development
- 220–260 total participants, including sponsored children, siblings, and caregivers
- 4 dedicated professionals providing specialized support
The professional team includes:
- 2 Academic Tutors
- 1 Psychologist specializing in learning disabilities and educational intervention
- 1 Psychologist supporting children and families facing emotional challenges and crisis situations
