Shawn

Shawn is 12 years old and lives in Tabon, Philippines. Now, in Grade 7, he especially enjoys his language arts class. Shawn has dreams of becoming a sailor after he finishes secondary school. He enjoys eating any dish that includes eggs and often spends his free time playing badminton with his friends Grae, Sean, and Bradley. Always the little helper, Shawn helps his mother cook and really enjoys making new dishes for the family to try.

Shawn is the youngest in his family and has one sister. His father works as a driver, while his mother is employed as a housekeeper. Their home is small with one room. It is also located in an area that is prone to dengue so they have to be ever vigilant about protecting themselves. Being part of the sponsorship program would be a huge relief for the family and ensure Shawn is able to continue his studies with everything he needs to graduate and have a successful career.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
