Serah

Serah is a gentle and family-oriented 26-year-old woman living in Kitui, Kenya. She is the third born in a family of six children and cherishes time spent with her siblings. Serah lives with health conditions resulting from early childhood medical complications, which have kept her from attending formal school. Despite these challenges, she remains a deeply loved member of her household who brings joy to those around her.

She lives in a brick home with a metal sheet roof alongside her parents, two brothers, and three sisters. Her parents work as peasant farmers to support the large household. Relying on modest farming income makes covering everyday living necessities and the high costs of specialized medical care, transportation, and clinical checkups a constant financial struggle.

Sponsorship connects adults with disabilities to inclusive educational, occupational, and social activities and enables them to live dignified and healthy lives, regardless of their level of independence.
