Purity

This little girl is Purity. She is four years old and lives in Mutindi, a small community outside Mwanza, Kenya. She is excited to be starting school soon, where she will get the education she needs to achieve her goal of becoming a nurse after she graduates. For now, Purity is happy running around the house and playing with her dolls.

Purity lives with her parents, brother, and two sisters. Both her parents work hard as small-scale farmers in their remote village. They also take any daily labourer work they can find, but with three children in school and Purity soon to start, they find it challenging to meet all their basic needs and the children’s education fees. For this struggling family, the sponsorship program would provide Purity with a wonderful opportunity. It would be a huge help in relieving the family’s financial strain and would ensure Purity can start school with everything she needs to be successful.

Sponsorship enables parents and caregivers to give their toddlers safe and happy years before starting school through improved nutrition, timely healthcare, and strong community support.
