Obaidatu

Obaidatu is a motivated 18-year-old student living in Wa, Ghana. She is in grade 10 at Wa Senior High Technical School studying Home Economics, where science is her favorite subject. An active and well-rounded young woman, Obaidatu enjoys reading storybooks and plays on her school’s female soccer team. She holds a strong belief in the power of education and dreams of becoming a professional nurse so she can save lives and support her family.

She resides in the farming community of Saamabo with her elderly grandmother in a brick home with a thatched roof. Because her grandmother is advanced in age and unable to participate in economic activities to generate income, covering the costs of higher education poses a significant hurdle. Sponsoring Obaidatu ensures she has the consistent support needed to stay in school and pursue her professional goals.
