Nathaly

Nathaly is a very creative eight year old from Cantón Paquí, a rural community outside the city of Totonicapán in Guatemala. She is currently in Grade 3 and loves art class because she really enjoys drawing landscapes. Nathaly is excited to be learning how to draw using the computer. When she’s not in school, you will find Nathaly reading, colouring, or playing basketball. She says that being active and playing with others makes her heart happy. Her dream is to join the military after finishing school.

Nathaly lives with her parents, brother, and sister in a small adobe home with a sheet-metal roof. Her parents work hard to support their children but it can often be challenging to cover their daily expenses, especially with all of the school fees. Being part of the sponsorship program would be a huge relief for this family and would ensure that Nathaly can continue her studies with everything she needs to reach her full potential and be successful in her chosen career.
