Muntaquim

Muntaqim is a bright and ambitious 6-year-old boy living in Luhombero, Tanzania, where he resides in a dirt home with a thatched roof. He is currently in baby class at Ilonga Primary School, where his favorite subject is mathematics. An active and social boy, Muntaqim loves reading, playing with his friends, and playing football. When he grows up, he dreams of becoming a doctor so he can achieve his big goal of helping others.

Muntaqim lives in a household of four family members with his mother and his two sisters. His father is a small-scale farmer who must travel away from home for parts of the year to find work, visiting the family whenever he is able to return. Because the family relies on unpredictable small-scale farming and faces the challenge of the father being away for seasonal labor, covering daily necessities and school supplies is a constant hurdle.

Sponsorship enables children to attend class every day and have the supplies they need to complete their education, grow up healthy, and achieve their dreams.
