Mercy

Mercy is a 28-year-old woman living in Waita, Kenya. She finds great joy in singing and is an active member of her household, which she shares with her grandmother and brother. Despite living with paraplegia, she maintains a close relationship with her family and contributes to the warmth of their home.

She resides in a home constructed of brick with a metal sheet roof. Her grandmother has provided a supportive environment for her since she was young, and they continue to care for one another despite the financial challenges of meeting their daily needs. Mercy is a resilient woman whose love for music and dedication to her family reflect her hopeful and persevering spirit.

Sponsorship connects adults with disabilities to inclusive educational, occupational, and social activities and enables them to live dignified and healthy lives, regardless of their level of independence.
