Mercy is a jovial and hardworking 14-year-old girl living in Meru, Kenya. She enjoys art class, playing hide-and-seek, and helping her family with household chores. Mercy was diagnosed with meningitis after birth, which affects her learning process and health. Despite her health challenges, she works hard in her studies at the foundation level and dreams of growing up healthy and strong.
She lives with her parents in a wooden home with a metal sheet roof. Both of her parents work as casual laborers, but their modest earnings are barely enough to cover daily household expenses alongside Mercy’s ongoing medical and educational needs.
